Susan Singer Senior Vice President, Associate Broker |
|
Corcoran's 2006 Chelsea Salesperson of the Year
Susan worked her way quickly up the ranks, first earning the title of Corcoran Vice President after a mere 2 years in the business and then named as both Chelsea/Flatiron Sales person of the year in 2006 and Corcoran Senior Vice President. In the first and second and quarters of 2008 Susan?s outstanding achievements earned her the distinction of being name one of NRT's Top 1,000 Sales Associates out of 54,000. This says a lot about one woman's marketing smarts, high energy and ability to produce in an ever-changing and competitive New York City Market.
As an established member of the prestigious Multi-Million Dollar Club, Susan's success in real estate is the natural culmination of her business endeavors. In the early 90's when environmental concerns were taking hold, she opened a green business in upstate New York where she developed and sold all natural and recycled products for the home and garden. "It was very exciting to work with artists and suppliers to find and create products that not only added beauty to one's personal environment but were also globally responsible." Talk about having a vision for the future!
While her passion helped to launch an on-going Earth Day Celebration in Kingston, NY and a devoted customer base, Susan returned to Manhattan to pursue other interests. While working as Director of Direct Marketing for American Baby Magazine she embarked upon a two year degree program in Feng Shui and the knowledge reignited her interest in the home. "That's what really interested me in real estate. I knew that I could help people navigate through the changes in their lives' where it impacted those most, in their homes."
And now it's come full circle. Susan became New York's First Certified Eco-Broker in 2006. Her classes prepared her to define, locate and mitigate environmental hazards as well as training in ways to build, retrofit and develop sustainable living spaces.
Over the last 3 years, Susan devoted herself to bringing green initiatives to her own home, London Terrace Towers, in hopes of creating a "healthier" building through energy conservation and efficiency. This effort began with Susan's gift of over 750 CFL bulbs to the London Terrace Towers tenants and now includes a management driven program.
Susan continues her efforts by speaking at events, most recently being invited to a conference in Puerto Rico to speak to the top 600 brokers at Long and Foster about the influence of green building on real estate and the environment. The impact she plays in building a greener NYC includes authoring a monthly column in the New York Blade as "The Queen of Green" as well as a blog on her website www.susansingerspaces.com .
Susan?s motto is "It's all about you". Whether you're buying or selling, she will take you from inception to completion with an eye on your future in any type of market.
