Senior Vice President/Associate Broker
Susan Singer earned a fast rise in Manhattan real estate thanks to her client-centric focus and exemplary record of meeting her buyers’ and sellers’ needs. She got her first listing while still in training at her previous firm, took the title Rookie of the Year, was a repeated award winner for top production (including Broker of the Year in Chelsea), plus sat among an elite status of brokers nationwide.
Susan’s impressive record continued as the “Queen of London Terrace” where she lives and has sold over 170 properties in nine years; while of course successfully representing clients throughout Chelsea and many other neighborhoods. As if one Queen designation were not enough, she also became known as the EcoQueen of Green as New York City’s first Certified Eco-Broker in 2006. Susan’s creativity and ingenuity led her to create a related cartoon strip, Tales of the Green Queen, which she wrote and directed, and is still found on her two highly-trafficked blogs susansingerspaces.com and ecoqueenofgreen.com.
Susan’s insight on green and sustainable building and living sets her apart from most agents, as does her extensive overall knowledge of selling and marketing real estate in Manhattan. Her success in the industry is actually the natural culmination of her vision, her passion and her business endeavors. In the early 90′s when environmental concerns were taking hold, Susan opened a green business in upstate New York where she developed and sold all natural and recycled products for the home and garden. Returning to Manhattan, she worked as Director of Direct Marketing for American Baby Magazine and embarked on a two-year degree program in Feng Shui. This reignited her interest in all things “home.” “I knew I could help people navigate through the changes in their lives – where it impacted them most – in their home environments.”
Susan’s certification makes her well equipped to help families identify healthy homes and renovate with an eye towards marketing a green-friendly residence when the time comes to move on. She continues her efforts by speaking at various events on the topic. Susan has also served on the boards of London Terrace Towers, Empire State Pride and 23rd Street Business Association.
Personally, Susan is a lover of the performing arts and music. She studied theatre at Lee Strasburg in Manhattan, and has taken voice lessons with a variety of teachers over the years. Since 2001, she has also worked with a jazz ensemble that performs several times annually.
